From Vision to Masterpiece
This one was created as a special collab with Ashvini Sihra — a rug inspired by the kind of peace only the mountains give. The vision was simple and powerful: layered hills, a rising sun, and a line that feels like a reminder every day — “Mountains are Home.” Designed to feel calm from across the room, and detailed up close with texture you can actually feel.
Design & Yarn Planning
We started by finalizing the artwork and matching every shade to the perfect yarn tone — from the warm sky and bright sun to the layered mountain greens. This step sets the mood of the rug and ensures smooth color transitions and a clean, premium finish before tufting begins.
Tufting & Weaving
With the design traced onto the frame, we tufted each section layer by layer — filling the sky, sun, and mountain gradients with steady, even pile. This stage builds the rug’s foundation, making sure every curve stays smooth and every color block looks clean before carving and detailing.
Seal & Backing
Once tufting was complete, we applied a strong adhesive backing to lock every strand in place and keep the rug durable for daily use. After curing, we trimmed the excess, refined the round edges, and prepped it for final carving and detailing so it stays clean, sturdy, and long-lasting.
Carving & Detailing
This is where the rug gets its premium finish. We carefully trimmed and carved along every mountain layer and around the sun to sharpen the curves, add depth, and create clean separation between colors. The lettering was refined for crisp edges, and the surface was groomed to make the whole design look smooth, bold, and display-ready.
Finished Rug
After final grooming and quality checks, the rug is complete — smooth, clean, and ready to ship. The layered mountains, soft sun, and crisp “Mountains are Home” lettering come together with rich texture and depth, making it a calm statement piece that feels just as premium as it looks.
